Tourmaline Jewellery

We love tourmaline. Like sapphire it comes in a wide range of vibrant colours, from yellow to honey, baby pink to red “rubalite”, translucent fern green to dark forest green. The reason, according to an old Egyptian legend, is that the tourmaline, on its long journey up from the centre of the Earth, passed over a rainbow. In doing so, it assumed all the colours of the rainbow. Often you can find a stone with “zoning” where the colour changes from one end of the stone to the other, the most famous being pink to green, known as “Watermelon” Tourmalines. We always keep a large number of cabochons in stock ready for making up that special commission. You will also see many of them set into designs in the gallery,

The “Roman” range was designed especially to show off the beauty of tourmaline.

Using 18ct yellow gold settings with either silver, gold or platinum as a base. A range of earrings, rings, cuff bangles and pendants usually with small 18ct gold beading work.
